Entry to Canada
eTA
is a new entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling
to Canada by air. The authorization is electronically linked to your
passport and is valid for five years or until your passport expires.
Citizens
from Countries other than the United States who do not need a Visa to
enter Canada will need to obtain an eTA before flying to Canada. To
view the list of countries please visit Canada.ca/eTA. Travellers do
not need an eTA when travelling by land or sea. The eTA becomes
mandatory on March 15, 2016.

Experts attending the ISO meetings are required to make their own
reservations and pay their own expenses.

The
ParkTown Hotel is recommend to Experts attending the
meetings. This hotel has been used for many similar meetings and is
found to be very good and well located. It is a scenic 10 - 15 minute
walk from the meeting
location or a short taxi ride.
A
block of rooms is booked in the name of "ISO TC159/SC1" and
will
be available for booking directly
from the hotel at a special reduced rates until at least
May
15, 2016.

According to Google it is 1.6 km between the ParkTown Hotel and the
Thorvaldson Building and 2.3 km between the Sharaton Cavilier Hotel and
the Thorvaldson building.
Basic walking directions are:
- Go left out of the front of either the ParkTown Hotel or
the Sharaton Cavalier Hotel
- Follow Spadina Crescent East
- Go across 25th St East
- Turn right and cross the bridge
- At the end of the bridge, keep to the left side on College
Drive
- Continue on College Drive to Wiggins Road
- Turn left onto Wiggins Road
- Follow Wiggins Road to Campus Drive
- Turn left onto Campus Drive
- Follow Campus Drive to Science Place
- Follow Science Place to the first building on the
right
- This is the Thorvaldson Building
NOTE: If you are
walking, you can go from Wiggnes Ave, through campus (between
buildings, to the quad) to the Thorvaldson Building.
